I’ve been honored to be selected as a finalist in the Southern Gothic category for the Claymore Award in the Killer Nashville International Writers Conference. Killer Nashville is one of the biggest writing competitions in the USA (and maybe the world) so this is a big deal for me.

Creating this website from scratch using WordPress was far harder than I ever imagined. I’m sure there’s a million easier ways I could have done this and I just ended up blindly stumbling into one of the hardest ways. Seriously, even back in high school in the dial-up modem age, using WYSIWYG editors were easier than this. But I have a mailing list, a way for people to contact me, a way to share updates. It’s a start.

And we all have to start somewhere, don’t we?
